Speed 2: Cruise Control

Speed 2: Cruise Control is an action film created by Director Jan De Bont after the enormous success of “Speed” in 1994.It is released on 13^th June’1997. It didn’t warrant a sequel of Speed. Here, the bus was replaced by a cruise ship and that is the scriptwriters have got a great narrow-mindedness. In this movie if the Ocean Liner doesn’t stop, everyone get killed same as the 1^st movie if the bus stopped, everyone get killed and that’s a small twist between them.

Speed 2: Cruise Controls plot sets as having long since things off with her boyfriend, Annie (Sandra Bullock) and her new boyfriend Alex (Jason Patric) plan a romantic holiday on an ocean liner. When the reunited lovebirds embark on the Seabourn Legend, it is hijacked by irascible passenger, John Geiger, who’s a walking time bomb and is a mentally-unstable. A psychotic computer expert, he’s the designer of the Seabourn computer system. By hacking the ship’s computer system the disgruntled ex-employee (Geiger) intends to take over the ship, crank the engines up to full power and sets it on a collision course. While he takes over the ship, he orders the crew to evacuate, then aims the ship at an oil tanker, steals all the jewelry on board and escapes with goods. As they are trapped in the ship, Alex has to take him on and try to stop the ship, which they discover is programmed to sail in to an oil tanker. At the end of the film is the ship hitting the Dry Dock and crashes into the island Saint Martin.   

Keanu Reeve didn’t except the role for this second part because of its worse scripts.

In this film, Keanu Reeves’ absence can terribly be felt. His replacement is so colourless. Considering the dubious quality of the final product, this may be the wisest decision of the young actor’s career.

In the movie ‘Speed ’we looked lots of promising ingredients like action. It was an entertaining shake of pure adrenaline that took everyone by surprise. Jan De Bont was an instant success and Bullock became a hot commodity. But Speed 2 can be numbered among the worst second chapters ever made.

Watching speed 2: Cruise Control was just a money maker and embarrassed for everyone involved. Sure, they’re all being well-paid, but no one wants a $120 million flop on their resume. Critics had mostly criticizing its poor acting, unrealistic story and boring characters. One of the most criticisms was that the film’s setting on a slow moving cruise ship was much less thrilling than setting on a fast moving bus. Then there was the decision to include comedy in the film and in particular the way comical little scenes are intertwined with the action scenes didn’t work powerfully.

The film was a box office disappointment and appears headed for a box office disaster of titanic proportions. Speed 2 has already sunk for its poor entertainment and creativity.

Though there were too many feasibility problems, the film still not a failure. It earns less then half of its budget in the US and earned less then $265 million worldwide. The film won the award for Worst Remake or Sequel.       

The Avengers is ready to create records

The Avengers is an American superhero movie of 2012. This movie is also one of the most waited movies of the year. This movie is produced by the Marvel Studios and the movie is  distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. The movie predicted to be one of the most earning movies of the year. It is the number six Marvel Cinematic Universe installment. The movie was written by Joss Whedon and he also directed the movie as well. This movie has bunch superheroes in it. As you have seen in the trailer it has got Iron Man, The Hulk, Captain America and Thor in it. With all these superheroes in this movie it is ready to win the heart of every movie goers.

Loki is the bad boy of the movie and also brother to the superhero Thor. He tries to take on the earth but Nick Fury knows that and assembles superhero’s to protect the universe. As we all know all the superhero character were form the Marvel Comic. The Hulk, Iron Man, Thor and Captain America came together to serve the world.  We know that with great power comes great responsibility. How they cope with everyone and do their responsibility to the universe this is the story of the movie.

The story is really good there is no point to be bore. You will be attached with your till the end of the movie. The Avengers has some comedy and romance in it. With the epic actions this kind of comedy and romance did a great job. Some point of screening you are about to lough and some portion that will make you feel very serious. The Avengers will be very interesting if you have seen movies like The Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man and Thor. It is one of the most entertaining movies of the year for sure. It is also one of the most well written adapted comic’s book movies.

Now actor who acted in the movie, what can I say about them? They all are great in their own role. First Iron Man is performed by the actual Iron Man Robert Downey Jr. This one man took the show in one other level. His comic timing is amazing. He entertains with his cheesy one-liners. His action sequences are really great. He did his part as perfect as it could be. Chirs Evans is playing the role of Captain America.  His performance is really awesome. Not to mention that he did good in the movie Captain America as well.  Every time he encounter with Robert Downey JR you bund to love that moment.  Mark Ruffalo is the man who played the role of the Hulk. His dramatic side is wonderful and you will love the battle between him and Loki. He did great as Bruce Banner and Hulk as well. Chirs Hemsworth becomes more mature in the movie. In Thor there was lack in his performance but in this time he did the justice to the role of Thor. He did awesome. Scarlett Johansson is portraying the role Black Widow. She is tremendous in her role. Loki is the best played role in the movie. You will evilly love the character for sure.

The Avengers is the pure eye-candy form the beginning to the end. It is full with visual graphics. Every frame of fighting is epic. There is not a lose end in the movie. The direction is great and it is one of most well directed Marvel superhero movie for sure. Joss Whedon deserve applause for his tremendous work in making the movie.

In one word the movie is a MasterPice for any Super Hero movie. It goes with the hype. The Avengers deserve 4.5/5.

Battleship an entertaining movie

Battleship movie is one other movie that directed by Peter berg. Peter Berg is one director directed the successful movie Hancock.  Now that he is delivering the new movie Battleship. Battleship was released in April 11, 2012. This movie is also from the Hasbro series which bought Transformer series. The transformers series was a successful journey for every movie goers. Battleship is an American science fiction movie. The movie is also produced by the director Peter Berg. The movie has distributed by the Universal Picture. Movie starts like Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgard, Liam Neeson and Broklyn Decker is in the movie. The movie is from the background of a Video named the same. The movie was schedule to release in 2011 but is postpone.  

Alex is talented man but now he is living a good for nothing life. Alex’s elder brother is a Navy officer and he makes Alex to join the Navy. Even after joining in the Navy Alex did not change. During an international naval exercise which is happening in Hawaii he clashes with one other naval officer of foreign. Admiral Shane is the superior played by the legend Liam Nesson. Admiral Shane is the father of the girl whom Alex is in love with and the girls name is Sam. Admiral decides to throw out Alex form the Naval exercise.  At that time five unknown thing enter the surface. One dropped in Hong Kong. It causes great life loss and property and the other four falls in the Pacific Ocean. The news confirm by NASA is that this alien come to earth as a response to an high electromagnetic wave massage that was send by NASA. This is a research project. How those aliens will destroy the planet or how the human will survive that is the story of the movie.

The movie script is good but it does not have enough elements for regular movie goers. Those who do not have sufficient time to go to the cinema will love the movie. The movie script is not wow but good. The whole movie is about an earth like planet. The dress design is not that good.  You will find that those alien wearing dress like Iron Man.

The actors of the movie did well. Legendary Liam Neeson was wasted in the movie. He does not have anything but yelling when he is giving his speech. Rihanna did not impress but she did have some screen time. The movie direction is good. Peter Berg did great job without a script, Thumbs up to him. The movie do entertain only with it great visual work.  Before the ending the ending fight is really breathtaking. 

Good: visual effect is really good.

Bad: Without the visual effect the movie is nothing. The movie does not have a script.

You can watch the movie if you like action movie. Don’t expect much with the movie. The movie is an entertaining fear for those who likes kick ass action. The movie deserves 3.5 starts in 5.

Lady Antebellum was formed in Nashville ,annessee in 2006.The members of this bands are Charles Celley (lead and background vocals),Dave Heywood (background vocals, guitar ,piano, mandolin) and Hillary Scoot (lead and background vocals).Now they are very popular for their rock songs.

 

The group made its debut in 2007.At first they performed as a guest band. They performed Jim Brikman’s single "Never Alone”. This pop group was formem in 2006 in Nashville, Tennessee, by Charles Kelley, Dave Haywood and Hillary Scott.She is the daughter of country music singer Linda Davis and Charles Kelley is the brother of pop and country artist Josh Kelley. Scott was rejected from the hit show American Idol two times, not even making it past the first round The name Antebellum comes from when the group were photographing "antebellum" homes.But now they are more famous than American Idol singers.

On October 7, 2009 their debut album was certified platinum by the RIAA for shipments of one million copies in the United States.Their third album was released in 2009.Its name was “I run to you”. It eventually became the trio's first Number One in July 2009. The group released the first single from their upcoming album, titled “Just a kiss”on On May 2, 2011.

Lady Antebellum already won many award and nominated a lot for award. Since Lady Antebellum won the Country music association aword ew Artist of the Year award in 2008, they have accumulated seven more awards, including their first Germany in 2010 for Best Country Performance by Duo or Group with Vocals.Only this group became the first artist in CMA Award history to receive the Single of the Year honor for two consecutive years. At the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, the trio won the Song of the Year, beating "Love The Way You Lie" performed by Eminem and Rihanna.

One of their famous song”our kind of love” was notable for being written in collaboration with a non-Nashville songwriter in busbee .This song was written previously for Katy Perry, Timbaland and Katharine McPee. Their fourth single from this album, “Hello World” was officially released on October 4, 2010.

Poets Of Fall One Rock Band For Entertainment

Poets of Fall is the name of a rock band of Finland. Marko Saaresto is the lead vocalist, Olli Tukiainen is the lead guitarist and Markus Kaarlonen is the keyboardist of this band. Besides, Jani Snellman as bass guitarist, Jari Salminen as drummer and Jaska Mäkinen as both rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist also support during their tour. Earlier name of this band was ‘Playground’. In 2003, they named it ‘Poets of Fall’.

During the debut year of this band, Sami Jarvi, Saaresto’s friend and a script writer, gave a poem to Saaresto and requested him to make a song using it. It was named ‘Late Goodbye’ and it became the ending-theme of the action game “Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne”. Later, on June 30, 2004 they unveiled their 1^stsingle ‘Late Goodbye’ in Finland. Afterwards, 2^nd single “Lift” was released in September. These two songs succeeded to earn a huge and remarkable response in Finland and also became the 2^nd and 7^th song respectively. Music videos of both songs were produced in the following year.

On 19 January 2005, their first debut album “Signs of Life” was released in Finland. It became one of the best Finnish albums among top 40. They achieved “Emma Award” for the "Best Debut Album of the Year 2005" and also "Best Newcomer of the Year" Award. Later, they won the "Best Finnish Breakthrough"-Award at the NRJ Radio Awards. On 22 March 2006, their 3^rd single “Carnival of Rust” was released. It became the No. 2 song in Finnish charts. On 30 March, its music video was released. Without any delay, this album achieved the no. 1 position on Finnish charts. It was also nominated for "Best Finnish Album" at the NRJ Radio Awards and "Best Rock Album" at the Emma Awards in 2007.  Following that year, the band released their single ‘The Ultimate Fling’. Including this song, their 3^rd album “Revolution Roulette” was released in 26 March. It also reached the top position of Finnish charts. Although it was not released outside Finland, the band made a tour to U.S.A at Los Angeles with this album. In 2009, they also made a tour to India. After the end of the tour, on 9 December 2009, they released their next single ‘War’ with music video. This video specially featured Alan Wake, a psychological thriller video game which was developed by Remedy Entertainment. However, including the song ‘War’, their 4^thalbum “Twilight Theater” was released on 17 March in Finland; later, on 29 October in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It also became the No. 1 on the Finnish charts.

Poets of fall released the 2^nd edition of their debut album ‘Signs of Life’ on 19 January 2011. On 16 March, they released ‘Alchemy Vol. 1’ which consisted of all the videography as well as the favorite songs of the band-members. It also featured their two new songs ‘No End, No Beginning’ and ‘Can You Hear Me’.

The upcoming 5^th album titled “Temple of Thought” will be released on March 21 2012. A song named ‘The Happy Song’ written for ‘Alan Wake's American Nightmare’ will be included in this album. Since the foundation of this band, they sold about 1 million copies of albums. “Poets of fall” is certainly one of the successful rock bands of the world, although they did not release their albums outside Finland so much. But for each and every album, they became renowned and awarded. That is quite an amazing matter, no doubt.

Nirvana - One Legendary Band

“Nirvana” is a rock band of America constructed by Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic in 1987. They were singer/guitarist and bassist respectively. Their earlier activities hardly brought any success until 1989. Afterwards, Dave Grohl became a member and with his help; Nirvana became more and more advanced with a lot of successes.

They recorded their 1^st demos in January 1988. Dale Crover, a new member, helped them but he left just after finishing the record. Then, Dave Foster was replaced as the 2^nd drummer.  They unveiled their first single “Love Buzz” in November 1988. Foster left too. Chad Channing became another temporary member. Following that year, Nirvana’s first album “Bleach” was released. The recording cost of Blench was about $606.17. Jason Everman provided the whole money. Later, he joined the band as the 2^nd guitarist in 1989. Blench also became favorite of college radio stations. In order to enhance the advertising of the album, they decided to make a national tour. But eventually, the tour was cancelled due to the disagreement with Everman. As a result, Everman left the band. Unfortunately, distribution and promotion of the first album failed to make further progress. Only 40,000 copies were sold. Later, with the help of Steve fisk, a producer, “Blew” EP was recorded. Afterwards, their sound development activities went to a full extent. They successfully developed and used the sound based on dynamic contrasts. In September 1990, Cobian and Novoselic found Dave Grohl who was their most expected and right drummer. Nirvana, consisting of three permanent members, signed to DGC Records in 1990. Their 2^ndalbum “Nevermind” was released in 1991. Although they were not hopeful with that album but especially the single ‘Smell like Teen Spirit’ became a hit song. Because of that debut song of their 2^nd album, Nirvana became quite popular and familiar to the whole nation as ‘alternative rock’. The band was also considered as ‘flagship band’ of Generation X. The expected number of copies to sell was 250,000 but DGC Records successfully sold near about 7 million copies of ‘Nevermind’ only in U.S.A. That’s not all. Soon, this album reached the number one position on the top chart. They performed their new song “Rape Me” at the MTV Video Music Awards. They were very lucky because they received “Best Alternative Video” award and “Best New Artist” award at the ceremony. Their 4^th single “In Bloom” was released in 1992. Following that year, another single “Puss”/”Oh, the guilt” was released. Their 3^rd album “In Utero” was released in 1993. Fortunately, it’s another album that claimed the number one position on the Billboard. Over 3.5 million copies were sold in U.S.A again. Nirvana decided to make a worldwide tour then; First tour in various subkingdom of U.S.A and secondly, in Europe. Their first was completed successfully. But in early 1994, Cobain became sick suddenly. Doctors said that it was the effect of taking excessive alcohol. The tour to Europe was cancelled. Instead of avoiding drugs, Cobain became addicted to heroin once again. He was convinced not to get used to the addiction otherwise that would be very harmful for his body. On 8^th April 1994, Cobain made suicide as he was found dead with a shotgun at home. Novoselic and Grohl were shocked due to this unexpected and sudden death of Cobain. All the hopes and all the beliefs of Nirvana came to an end. But DGC didn’t. In November 1994, “Live! Tonight! Sold Out!!” (First full length video of Nirvana) was released. Next year, Nirvana won a Grammy Award for Best alternative Music album. DGC issued “From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah” that was a live album of Nirvana. In 1997, Grohl, Novoselic and Cobain’s widow Courtney Love constructed “Limited Liability Corporation” (LLC) with a view to observe all the projects related to Nirvana. All the unreleased singles, e.g. “You Know You’re Right”, “With the Light’s out” were released after 2002. Besides, 20^th anniversary deluxe edition of ‘Bleach’ and ‘Nevermind’ were released in 2009 and 2011 respectively.

Nirvana sold over 25 million copies of their albums only in U.S.A, and over 50 million worldwide. Obviously, this band would become the greatest and the most popular in the history if Kurt Cobain was alive today, no doubt.

Justin Bieber the hit machine

The Canadian Singer Justin Bieber mainly sing pop and /R&B songs. He was discovered by Scooter Braun. Justin Bieber came out with a YouTube Video.  Scooter Braun was looking some new videos on YouTube and clicks one of Justin’s videos. Letter he take Justin to Usher who was in Atlanta. Usher was also impressed with the music that Justin created. Soon Justin signs a contract with RBMG. The uprising star Bieber debut with the single called “One Time”. This single was released in the year of 2009 and peaked the top twenty in the Canada. The very first album of Justin Bieber was EP my world which released in the following November of 2009. This album was become a platinum hit in USA. With the album he created a record “First man to have seven songs in the top 100 on Billboard”.

Bieber’s first full album is My World 2.0. My World 2.0 was released in 2010. This album peaked the first spot with the releasing in USA and in top ten in some other country. My World 2.0 is also a platinum hit is under the belt of the little hit machine. This album’s music video Baby is one of the most successful singles. Baby is the most viewed music video on the YouTube. The followed up released of Justin Bieber by the release date and those were My World Acoustic , Never Say Never- Remixes, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never the 3D concert movie. The movie did get a great opening on the box office and nearly match the box office collection of the best opening concert movie. This Canadian pop singer released his second studio album in 2011 which called the Mistletoe. This album also takes a great start with peaking the top spot on the Billboard 200.

Justin Bieber become famous with the first single but some songs that make his journey a great treat for the listeners.  Baby is the most successful song of Justin Bieber till date. His first  single One Time, Never Let You Go U smile were in the list of successful songs.  Eenie Meenie is one song which he sang with Sean Kingston was well appreciated. He did also work with User and get tremendous appreciation.   He is the youngest singer who acted in the Billboard after Stevie Wonder.

Justin Bieber managed to get awards like “Artist Of The Year” in the American Music Awards 2010. He is also nominated for Best New Artist and for the Best Pop Vocal Album in the 53^rd Grammy Awards. This talented singer has won over million hearts worldwide. Form the beginning of his carrier he is always in the news.  He is one of the most discussed celebrities as well. He is related to one other singer Selena Gomez. His look is very popular among the teenager.  His hear style become popular with the first beginning. His hairstyle is the most expensive hairstyle of all time.

Justin Bieber is ready for the next release. In “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” he declared that the first song of the album will be called “Boyfriend”. He also has an interest to make a duet song with Demi Lovato. This little hit machine has a far way to go for sure.

The Hunger Game is a real food for movie goers

The Hunger Games is one of the best gifts for the movie goers. In these days good movies are not that much available. Not every movie is doing great business in the box office or not every movie is that good win viewer’s heart. The Hunger Games is an adaption to the beloved bestselling novel named the same. It was predicted that this movie will surely going to suppress every Twilight movie installment on the box office and it did.  This movie did cross the milestone of 300 million. When a movie come out to the screen especially if it a movie from a novel, we try from the deep form our heart to show what did the director do wrong. In this case The Hunger Games Director Gary Ross did a tremendous job.

Jenifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Wes Bentley, Woody Harrelson, Josh Hutcherson, Stanley Tucci and Elizabeth Banks were in the movie. The main lead is for the beautiful Jenifer Lawrence. Jenifer Lawrence played the role of Katniss  Everdeen and she really shine in the role.  The Hunger Games is the story of a girl who encountered with some odds for becoming the victorious one. The story tells about the North America of the future, where the capital is controlling the vast part of the good and masses. Those impoverished people are divided into 12 parts, every one of them are called District. There is a rule that bound the people to sacrifice one young soul between than 12-18 years. Every district has to give one boy and one girl. Those boys and girls will be selected with a lottery. Those who will be selected will call tributes.

The 74^th Hunger Games is in the doorstep. The lottery of death called the name of Primrose Everdeen and she is the sister of Katniss  Everdeen. Katniss  Everdeen did volunteer her tributes. The other tribute form the district 12 is Peeta Mellark (Josh Hucherson). They have to fight inside a jungle with the weather and the animals or the other odds. They find good mentor who was also a winner of the Hunger games. In the proses of going on Peeta Mellark confess the feeling of loving Katniss Everdeen. The Hunger Games format says that only one survive in this deadly tournament. Somehow Katniss also feel for Peeta. Will they survive the tournament or they will die this is the story of the movie.

Director Gray Ross did a great job. The screen play is really good and the production design is totally amazing. This is one where you have to look for the fault. This movie is pure entertainer with action. Jenifer Lawrence did a great job portraying the role of Katniss Everdeen and Josh Hucherson also did great. The movie will do great business in the Box office. The Hunger Games will surely break the record of any twilight movie series.

The Hunger Games is not a master piece but is a great treat to watch. You will not be disappointed for sure during the movie. This movie will surely get an A- form me. Watch the movie for sure.

The Pussycat Dolls~ One inspiring group

The Pussycat Dolls are one of the most known American POP girl groups.  They made their mark with dance ensemble. Pussycat Dolls were founded in Los Angeles. It started with the hand of Robin Antin she is a multitalented person mainly known for her choreography. This girls group was formatted in the year of 2003. The members of the group are Nicole Scherzinger, Melody Thornton, Ashley Roberts, Hessica Sutta, Kimberly Wyatt and Carmit Bacher. They also produce the first two albums of the groups and some singles as well. They do have some of the hits like- “Don’t Cha”, “Stickwitu”,”Beep”, “When I Grow Up”, “Jai Ho” Oscer winner MR. A.R Rahman , ”Buttons” and some other songs. Their song Stickwitu did manage them one nomination for the Grammy Award in 2005. The Pussycat Dalls are also associated with Carmen Electra and Giricious.

In the starting of 2011 Antin did announce a good new lineup for the girl Groups. That line up debut in February 2012 with the Go Daddy advertisement at the Super Bowl. In 2009, Pussycat Dolls declared as the 80th successful musical act of 2000’s.

Pussycat Dolls started their journey as a dance troupe. The first performance was held back in 1995. From 1995 to 2003 there was a trend of come and gone. They performed with many vocalists. The troupe did receive mass popularity in 1999. Following their popularity one of the music producers Jimmy Iovine and Ron Fair joined with them. The former dance troupe becomes a girls group. Scherzinger is the main vocal of the group and started with two song in the movie Shark Tale and Shall We Dance. Their first single was Sway form the movie Shall We Dance. In 2005 they released their first album called PCD. The album peaked number one spot in New Zeland and also took the spot in top in countries like Canada, USA and Netherland. PCD sold over 9 million copies worldwide. The album was a hit. Their first albums single was Don’t Cha. It is also a success.This song takes a position in the Billboard list two. Stickwitu was another hit in the USA. This song manage take the top spot in the UK. This song also did manage to get a nomination in the Grammy Award. Beep is one other song which was featuring Will I am. Button manages a place in the top 3 on the single chart of UK.

The groups second album was Doll Domination and this album was release in 2008. Doll Domination opened with top four positions in the billboard. The first single of the album was When I grow up and Whatcha think about that. The third single of the album was I heat this part right here. Bottle Pop is the fourth single and received a good response though it was released in the limited circle. In 2009 they were in a tour called Doll Domination Tour. Lady Gaga did open for them in the Europe and Australia. They are one of the most inspiring groups of these days.  With some great performances they received some great awards.
