Adele Laurie Blue Adkins was born in 5^th May 1988. She is better known as Adele. Adele was born at Tottenham, In North London.  Adele is an English singer and songwriter. Adele got her first offer after her friend post her recording demo on Myspace. XL record offered her to record with them. Her first album was 19 and released in 2008. This album was commercially successful. 19 was four times Platinum in the UK. In 2009 Adele received her first Grammy Award for Best New Artist and also received Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.

After successful first album Adele released her second album 21. 21 was released in early 2011. This album was well received by critic and by the audience. This album is to break the first record of hers and it did surpass the success of the first album. 21 has been certified 14 times platinum in UK and in USA  it did a great business. 21 held the top position for the highest time since 1993. This is the album what took Adele in the Guinness Book Of World Record.  She is the opening artist who sold over 3 million copies of an album in a single year in the UK. Adele is the one artist after Beatles to have two top five hits in both USA and Britain. “Rolling In The Deep” and “Some One Like You” are the first two singles then she released her third single “Set Fire To The Rain”. “Set Fire To The Rain” was become the third single of hers to take the top position in the Billboard. 21 is the highest running album by any female solo artist in the UK. Adele was the artist of the year according to Billboard In the year 2011.

19 album was named after her age at that time. 19 entered the UK chart at Number one. The Time was the first single of the album; she released her second single on 14^th January 2008. After two weeks of the release of the album the song reached the No; 2 Position on the UK top chart. This album brought her some awards like, Urban Music Award-“Best Jazz Act”. In March 2008, Adele signed her deal with Columbia Record and XL recording for foray in the US. 19 topped the iTunes charts and became NO: 5 at the Amazon.com. This album reached the 11^th spot in that year.  This album was certified as gold by February 2009. At the midway of 2009 the album had sold 2.2 million copies worldwide.

Adele released her second album in the year of 2011, month is January. This is one album that has everything to break any records. This album’s sound is fully classic and full country music. This title of the album was upon her age. With the release of this album it took the straight top spot. It did make a great business worldwide. 21 certified as 14^th time platinum in the UK. The album sold over 208,000 copies in the first week of its release. This is the highest selling record for January in five years. Someone Like You became number one hit with the release. The album was in the top spot for 16 weeks. By December 21 sold over 3.4 million copies in the UK. 21 became the biggest selling album of the 21^st century. Rolling in the deep reached the top spot with its release. Adele performed a duet of Lady Antebellum "Need You Now" with Darius Rucker. Need You Now has sold 5.567 million digital copies in the US. Album 21 help’s Adele to grab a space on the Grammy Awards. She received some nominations for this album.She received 6 Grammy Awards in 54th Grammy Award.
 

Adele becomes an Icon by now. She is busy with the promotion of her album 21. She will come back live in the Grammy Award.
